......and since when did Nolan become "many grandfathers"....or where you just looking to post an adverserial comment?
LOL - you asked the obtuse question: "since when does how many grand kids a man has determine how he spends his day?" I answered that for many men who are grandfathers, it does determine how they spend their day.
......and the world MIGHT end tomorrow or you MIGHT win the lottery this weekend. MIGHT is a very strong argument.
Tell us the truth, O mighty one! Please, tell us the absolute truth! You know....where you don't have to use the word "might" or speculate in any way whatsoever.
Wasn't Chuck Greenberg? I'm not really sure what to make of this story. There has to be something to it though. As someone else said, why hasn't Nolan come forward to congratulate JD or at least clear up the story? I mean, it could simply be that he rolled his eyes at it and doesn't feel it's even worth his time.
I do think the story is overblown, but to what degree? I have a hard time thinking Nolan would just walk away, but we've certainly seen stranger things.
Yeah, I suppose it's pretty easy for the big oil men to buyout minority stakeholders to stabilize front office politics. They've done it before, and they've indicated they intend to keep the young brain trust in place.
Is it just me or is it starting to look like Nolan doesn't play well with guys who haven't played pro ball?

Definitely just you, the team wouldn't be where it is now if Nolan didn't get a long with the people in the organization that contribute a ton that aren't "baseball people." Remember that JD is very logical person and respects the "classical" baseball mindset as much as his own... but it's not like he's purely a statistician nerd that sits behind a desk... there's a story somewhere on the internet about how he'd tape Mets games on a VCR (jokingly: [what the hell is a VCR?]) and watch and score them when he got back from whatever... So he definitely understands every point of view.
Maybe now isn't the best time to break news on a rumor I heard that Nolan was recently seen going into a bathroom at Sherlock's....and he was not alone.
........Simpson DID address it.......and after what he said, what would be gained by Nolan saying the same thing?
Because I'd like to hear it from the horse's mouth.
Don't get me wrong I like what Simpson had to say but this will either blow over and everyone is wrong about Nolan being forced out or whatever has been concocted or Nolan and JD will shoot it down.
