"Nolan Ryan Stripped of Power" - Randy Galloway

Now, I respect Nolan Ryan, and I always will. Always. BUT, I'm glad to see that JD is the one replacing him.

Also, the standard Randy Galloway caveats apply.

Let's not turn this into something it's not. Like Galloway and the media surely will work overtime to do.

Yeah, this whole thing is ridiculously overblown.

Galloway seems to have had an issue with Daniels for year and a love for Ryan for years. Maybe it is what's going on, but at the same time I'd wait and see what happens before giving Galloway a huge amount of credit.

I especially like all the quotes included by ownership discrediting everything Galloway is claiming.

The lack of proof is all the proof Galloway needs apparently.

But his sources say otherwise! Sorry, but if an owner answers questions knowing that he'll be accountable for them and adamantly insists that Nolan isn't on his way out... I don't think you need to go digging for more answers! He's so frustrating...

What I think might be going is that Nolan is beginning to take a step back, overall he's still CEO and in charge of the joint... but like in any corporation, it's usually the CEO's officers that are making the decisions - which seems like that's what they're moving towards. Nolan will likely retire at some point and it's important to groom someone for that role once he's gone to ensure that the foundation of the franchise stays intact.

Agreed. Nolan is 66 years old. I think he knows retirement is near and it's better to have an exit plan than Daniels taking on all responsibility immediately. Not that JD couldn't handle it but it's just the wiser, easier move.

Galloway desperately tries to sell Newspapers. Water still wet. Sun still rises in East.

I haven't read the Galloway article but another article gave me the impression this is more about opening the GM spot for Levine or Preller.

Galloway is a hack.... how he in 2013 still has a job is mind bogging
And the Rangers, well, they dominate the Astros year in and year out. If Rick Perry really does lead a secession effort, can we put Dallas and Houston into different states so we don't have to keep calling them Daddy?
